CHARACTERISTICS OF INTER-URBAN ROAD TRANSPORTATION OF ENUGU STATE / INTRODUCTION / OBJECTIVES

1.3 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
This research tried to look at the problems of inter-urban road transport and their possible solution in Enugu state, and would be useful in planning transport operation, safety and general well being of road transport user. To attain this aim, the following objectives were pursued.

1. To evaluate the number of vehicles that leaves and enters Enugu urban per day.

2. To examine the number of passenger that each type of vehicle can carry.

3. To analyze the cost of transport fare for the different type of vehicle

4. To interpret the type of goods that is transported from the rural area to Enugu urban center and vice versa.
