MONEY LAUNDERING LAW SENDS TO PARLIAMENT

The acting minister of Justice, Muhammed Yusuf Haleem, introduced a new law, to the House of Representatives on Saturday.
The new law was- the Anti-money laundering and prevention of financing terrorism law. The acting minister of Justice- Afghanistan, said the law was in accordance with international standards, called for quick ratification by parliament.
The council of minister has only go through and finalized parts of the law. The head of central Bank in Afghanistan, said if the law was not passed in full, it would be ineffective.
The Chairman of the Financial and Budget Commission, said that "we will review the law, and once we are satisfied that it is in accordance with international standards, we will ratify it. It is just five weeks- Afghanistan need to ratify the new law.
