OFFENSIVE LAUNCHED AHEAD OF RUNOFF- MILITARY
The spokesman, Sedqi Sediqqi of the Ministry of Interior at a press conference on Monday said the government of Afghanistan security forces have launched 75 military operation across the nation. This is to secure key locations and ensuring the safety of voters on election day.
Sediq said, 75 operations have been conducted and 100 militants and terrorists were killed in these operations. Others like 46 were arrested.
However the security and election officials have agreed to add hundreds of new polling centers for the Runoff vote. Sediq, said the list of new centers had not yet been drafted.
