U.S CONDEMNS "HORRIFYING IRAQ MASSACRE BY ISLAMIC MILITANTS
The horrifying massacre by the Islamic militants have killed hundreds of Iraqi soldiers. The United States condemned the act on Sunday.
Iraq said it had "regained the initiative" against fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant as grisly reports emerged of atrocities.
The Islamic militants massacred 1,700 Iraqi Shia air force recruits in Tikrit. The U.S State Department, spokeswomen Jen Psaki said "while we cannot confirm these reports, one of the Primary goals of Islamic is to set fear into the hearts of all Iraqis and drive sectarian division among its people". She said.
Psaki said U.S would boost security at its embassy.
U.S to trained Iraqi forces, immediately as Islamic militants captured key towns in Iraq successful last week. Iraq forces discard their uniforms and abandoned their operations vehicles. Islamic militants seized Iraq's biggest city Mosul and Tikrit, in four days.
According to Iraqi officers, said their forces were now starting to chase the militants, and Iraqi forces had recaptured two towns in North of Baghdad. As troops were chasing back the militants, 12 policemen burned bodies were found in the town of Ishaqi in Salaheddin Province, including bodies found, a police colonel and a doctor.
